The 2025 Lake Egypt May Tournament registration is online. Every Angler must register before the event starts. If you want to be included in the tournament draw then be sure that you are registered before 9:00pm Central time on the Thursday before the event. When you register it will ask you to choose your payment method, either online of Cash/Check. If you choose the Cash/Check option then you need to make sure that Ed gets the payment before the event starts.
The random takeoff draw will be conducted the Thursday before the tournament with all of the registered Boaters. The takeoff will be posted on the Steel City Facebook group page and the Steel City website.
Boaters and non-boaters can register separately. If anyone has an issue with registering please contact Ed. No money will be taken or given out at the event. the event winners will have the winning paid by check to the address you registered with.

NOTE: ** If you pre-register for the event and have to cancel for any reason just let Ed know before the kickoff time and you will be removed from the event and your entry fee can be refunded or used for a future tournament registration. If you are registered and do not call to cancel then you cannot get your registration refunded.

Whether you are a resident, regular boater or first time visitor, we know you will enjoy the Lake Life here. This is a 2,300-acre lake with 93 miles of shoreline developed by the Southern Illinois Power Cooperative for cooling water. The lake has an average depth of 18 ft with a maximum depth of 53 ft.
The lake is open to the public. SIPC does not allow racing type or loud boats. Pontoon boats are limited to 28 ft. and hull boats may not exceed 20 ft. Water-skiing, tubing and jet skis are permitted in designated areas. Fishing includes Bluegill, Large-mouth Bass, Channel Catfish, Striped Bass, and Crappie.
