Steel City Bassmasters
Release and Indemnification Agreement
Upon registering for this event you hereby release the Steel City Bassmasters, its
members and officials, its board of directors, and each member of the board of directors, the Bass
Angler’s Sportsman Society, and the Illinois B.A.S.S. Nation of all responsibility and liability for any
injuries to person or property, while participating in or traveling to or from any event sponsored by the
Steel City Bassmasters and/or the above mentioned parties.
You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Steel City Bassmasters, its members and
elected officials, its board of directors, the Bass Angler’s Sportsman Society, and the Illinois B.A.S.S.
Nation for any and all claims, demands, causes of action, suits, and damages arising out of, or filed by on
behalf of any person riding in or injured by your boat or other watercraft owned or operated by all registrants.
You recognize that Steel City Bassmasters is a not-for-profit entity, and that any fee you may pay the Steel City Bassmasters does not fully reimburse the Steel City Bassmasters for all costs it incurred sponsoring
events, therefore, you accept the Steel City Bassmasters’ sponsorship of all events as consideration for this
release and promise to indemnify and hold harmless.
As further consideration for the Steel City Bassmasters’ sponsorship of one or more events, you
promise to read and follow tournament rules and tournament safety guidelines issued by the Steel City
Bassmasters during all events sponsored by the Steel City Bassmasters, including, but not limited to,
fishing tournaments.
As further consideration for the Steel City Bassmasters’ sponsorship of one or more events, you
promise to keep and maintain liability insurance on any boat or watercraft I own or operate at all Steel
City Bassmasters sponsored events, with at least $100, 000 worth of liability insurance coverage.
You have had ample opportunity to read this release and indemnification, and have had opportunity to
consult your own attorney on it. You have either consulted your own attorney regarding this release and
indemnification, or hereby waive the right to consult your attorney.
This document is legally binding from the moment you registered for the event, and will expire upon expiration of my Steel City Bassmasters Membership.
