Each vehicle for the Crab Orchard tournament must have a valid entrance pass. these can be purchase at the Visitors Center or Online (they prefer online purchases)/All vehicles entering the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge for the Steel City Bassmasters Crab Orchard Lake Tournament on May 30, 2026, are required to purchase and display a valid entrance pass.
A one-day pass is available for $2.00 per vehicle and watercraft. Passes may be purchased at the self-service kiosks located at the Visitors Center, Woodland Trail parking lot, or online at https://www.recreation.gov/sitepass/1358
Simply select the “One Day Pass” option and complete your payment online. Yes, a 1 day Vehicle pass is the same as a Watercraft pass. If you are fishing more than one day then just put in the number of days and it will ask you to fill out the pass for each day.
If purchasing your pass on-site, no printed copy of the pass will be issued. Instead, your vehicle’s license plate number will serve as proof of purchase.
The Visitor Center is open daily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Please note that all passes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Any pass that has been altered or reproduced will be considered void.
